So you get the timestamp and nothing else. Even if there are no
users on the box, I would expect some traffic. How did you
generate the config? From what you had said, I was under the
impression you were trying to graph the number of ftp users
logged in to your box...

First thing to check is the .log file. What does that have in the first
line? Are all the other lines zeros? I'm willing to bet you need to add
either absolute or gauge to the Options[target]: identifier...
gauge is my personal guess.

For some reason mrtg wont graph anything, like it has 0.0bytes/s in and
outgoing....
why is this?
i know there is data going in and out. got over 200ppl on the ftp
