[mrtg] MRTG Return Codes

I'm running MRTG 2.9.18pre1 on winNT 4.0 and all works well. My problem is when I try to 
get SNMP data with explicit MIB OIDs.
Hereafter the per target part of my cfg file.

Directory[performance]: performance
MaxBytes[performance]: 800
Options[performance]: gauge, nopercent
Unscaled[performance]: dwym
YLegend[performance]: % Acc
ShortLegend[performance]: %
LegendO[performance]:  Acceleration OUT:
LegendI[performance]:  Acceleration IN:
Title[performance]: performance

These OIDs returns an absolute number (55, 120, etc...) and with SNMP browser I get the 
values.
When I'm starting MRTG, in the event viewer I see this error:

rateup died from Signal 0
 with Exit Value 5 when doing router 'performance'
 Signal was 0, Returncode was 5.
