[mrtg] Re: Tree structure of left side of the page

This is possible, although it is a routers.cgi question, not MRTG. 
Additionally, I don't believe that this was possible with routers.cgi version 1.31.
I would suggest upgrading to v.2.0a, which definitely supports this feature, as well as many other new enhancements.
