You are only giving us about 1/2 the picture. MRTG
is grabbing the data, waiting 5 minutes, grabbing
more data, doing math, and goes from there every 5
minutes.

>From the one piece you sent, there is no way to tell
just how close the data MRTG stores is to what you
would see by typing that command. Also, grabbing
the data via snmp may yield different results because
sometimes, the data counted by the snmp daemon is
different from that which is reported to the command
line. From the testing we've done in our labs, the
snmp data is generally more accurate. And the closer
MRTG is able to poll to every 5 minutes, the more
accurate that data will be as well.

I'm trying to figure out how MRTG Converts this Data into the following.

On My router I get this
#.....................................................................
ATM2/0.2 is up, line protocol is up
  Hardware is ENHANCED ATM PA
  Description: - <My Interface Description>
  Internet address is <MyIp_address>
MTU 4470 bytes, BW 3000 Kbit, DLY 190 usec,
     reliability 255/255, txload 34/255, rxload 8/255
  Encapsulation ATM
  33278048 packets input, 7878651880 bytes
  21583277 packets output,9320447425 bytes
36154 OAM cells input, 36157 OAM cells output
  AAL5 CRC errors : 0
  AAL5 SAR Timeouts : 0
  AAL5 Oversized SDUs : 0
#---------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------
And This is what MRTG Graphs (5 Min Average)..................
(there could be a difference for a few Minutes but not a big change on
traffic)

Maximal In 1.705M	(31.88%)
Maximal Out 2.802M	(55.01%)
Average In 684.704k (14.26%)
Average Out 746.942k	(15.56%)
Current In 695.294k	(14.49%)
Current Out 547.486k	(11.41%)

I know that the Info in MRTG is correct (This is a 3M ATM Link)

Can someone please help me do the small Maths that is graphed.

Thanks
Steven
