on second thought, check the permissions to see if the user can run /bin/sh

how about permission to use perl ? (are you using sudo to run this or root
or just a user?)

does it exist ? you tell us, its your server.

is the script executable ? chmod +x mrtg_total.pl

is /usr/bin/perl executable? does it exist?
