The previous reply from Jay seems to be a cool idea. Another option is to
build a small cgi script on the remote web server. Then use the external
script option to call a local script which then calls the cgi url to pass
in the values. This takes a bit of scripting but it is not too deep if you
know how to get the user info at the server via script. The mrtg local
script can use LWP::Simple module to call the url if perl is an option.
This worked for me to distribute ping response time monitoring in the past.
