well, this is still a mystery: I updated the logfile by hand to
reflect actual values after I got a corrupted file error.
Looked good for a couple of iterations. Then for some reason, the
2nd and 4th data columns started recording something odd,
expecially as that values exceeds the AbsMax setting (of 99183).
