[mrtg] new gd library installation - gif & png problem

Hi,

My mrtg installation was initially done by someone else.  Now I've just 
recently installed the GD library that doesn't support GIFs and my images 
aren't working anymore.

Can anyone point me in the direction of docs for switching from GIF to PNG 
images?

Do I need to recompile MRTG or something?  I'd prefer not to, as the config 
was all set up by someone else the first time, and I'm not sure I could do 
that again.
