[mrtg] Re: Multi Target Syntax (with OID)

OK, I got this working.

The reason was because of some

Target[^]: XXXXXXXX

and

RouterUptime[^]: XXXXXXX

macros defined somewhere earlier.

I had to override them first:

Target[^]:
Target[all]: OID1&OID2:public at host +
             OID3&OID4:public at host2

and it works. (Same thing with RouterUptime[^])

Thanks.

Albert.

Target[all]: OID1&OID2:public at host +
             OID3&OID4:public at host2

The above should work fine but I've never polled two separate devices within
the same target.

If you have the target parameter on several lines, always put a few spaces
at the start of a line.

What is the exact error msg returned?

I am using MRTG to monitor one OID of several devices.
And it works perfectly.

I would like to generate a extra graph monitoring the 'sum' of this variable
on the two devices.

Can you do the same thing with OID? When I tried the following:

Target[all]:
1.3.6.1.4.1.3199.10.28.1.2.5.0&1.3.6.1.4.1.3199.10.28.1.2.5.0:public at device1
+
1.3.6.1.4.1.3199.10.28.1.2.5.0&1.3.6.1.4.1.3199.10.28.1.2.5.0:public at device2
