[mrtg] MRTG done in PHP

Has anyone seen a product or tool that uses the MRTG data collections,
but a PHP frontend for the graphics generation?

I know a little about PHP, and am even more dangerous with Perl. My
idea is to take several different data points about a server (CPU load,
memory, Disk I/O, etc) and graph them all onto a single chart as
different colored lines. I I currently collect this data locally every
5 seconds into files on a common SMB share. Any suggestions on this
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
