In the Cisco propreitary mib, in most cases, Yes. You will not be able to
monitor everything you can on one box in the same way (if at all) as on
another.

the available list of MIBs.

I'd start with the CISCO-STACK-MIB. IIRC the catalysts only have a temp
ok/temp not ok alarm and not an actual temperature gauge. This has been
discussed on the list before, so if you search the archives you'll probably
come up with a solution.
