Hi all,

Thank You for the swift answers!

Ooops, u go ahead, query my lil' 2k-box to death! :D

Well, I'm SURE, the SNMP runs, it says so in the process-list of
taskmgr, I recently dl'ed 'getif' and cant seem to get anything out of
the win2k-box! I know, it should be accessible, but maybe the win2k-box
is firewalled on the SNMP-port somewhere in the domain?

I can access SNMP locally (I tried SNMPUTIL and GETIF) w. 127.0.0.1, but
not with the IP-adress 130.225.53.41, which is its own public IP.
Strange!

Also, I cannot snmp-access/query my home-machine from the
win2-gameserverbox, neither does telnet-server (port 23, ofc) seem to
get any connections up and running!

Well, that’s another problem, back to current: the win2k-box seems to be
able to snmp-query itself locally, eg. using IP: 127.0.0.1. Still it
produces those errors..

Any hints?

/G

Hi Gabriel,

I see that error in typically one of three situations: SNMP isn't
running, or your community string (here set to public, you just gave
everyone here your community string and now we can all graph your Quake
stats :) ), or this can be the case when the OID you're trying to
pull isn't there.

Hope that helps,

Tony
