Regarding generating HTML pages from Perl scripts......

If you look at the mrtg perl script (in a text editor or similar), you
should be able to decipher the manner in which it generates the raw HTML
code and outputs it to a text file.  A little bit a looking should identify
the key points to bear in mind.
