usually hitting <ESC> will exit the Insert mode and put you in Command mode.
Then you can use ZZ to save and exit.

I need help to save my settings in crontab -e. I know that I should use
crontab -e and then <Alt>I for inserting. But how do I save my changes?
Ive done it before but it fell of..
