Hi Samuel,
Since the data is getting into the logfile there is nothing wrong with
your shell script.
My guess is that you do not have put in 'GAUGE' at the options[..] line
of the mrtg configfile.

Subject: [mrtg] Using shell scripts ?
Hi,
I am a beginner of MRTG.
I'm tryig to use shell scripts but MRTG doesn't seem to understand. The
official and unofficial FAQs do not explain how to use shell scripts.
My target line :
Target[test]: `/etc/mrtg/test.pl`
My test.pl :
#!/usr/bin/perl
print "10\n";
print "15\n";
The beginning of my log file :
1027431604 10 15
1027431604 0 0 0 0
1027431305 0 0 0 0
1027431300 0 0 0 0
1027431000 0 0 0 0
1027430700 0 0 0 0
and so...
Did I forgot something ?
Is the script output correct ?
Does MRTG need specifical options with shell scripts ?
Is this problem explained somewhere ?
Thank's
