[mrtg] What about values like this ÿ2.54857E+01 ....

Im about to survey a temperature monitoring device. When I poll its OID's I 
get (of course) these values and also errormessages from MRTG:

[/usr/mrtg/cfg/techtrade.net] # /usr/mrtg/bin/mrtg opto22.cfg
WARNING: Expected a number but got '+2.55027E+01'
WARNING: Expected a number but got '+3.66022E+01'
ERROR: Target[][_IN_] ' $$target[1]{$mode} ' did not eval 
into defined data
ERROR: Target[][_OUT_] ' $$target[1]{$mode} ' did not 
eval into defined data
WARNING: Skipping Update of, inlast is not defined
WARNING: Skipping Update of, outlast is not defined
[/usr/mrtg/cfg/techtrade.net] #

Is there a way?  :-)
