Stefan,
Next line works fine for me with the mrtg-ping-probe perlscript (This
script requires an IP-address):
Target[<routername>.pingprobe]: `perl f:\mrtg-2.9.17\bin\mrtg-ping-probe
w.x.y.z`
I'm running MRTG 2.9.17 on an NT4 machine, but that should not make any
difference.
Jan.

Subject: [mrtg] Win2k and Availability, Misc-Pingprobe
Hi,
my mrtg(2.9.18pre12) runs on a Win2k machine. i already monitor
different values of some routers. now i'd like to monitor the
availability of them with e.g. mrtg-misc-pingprobe. But i really don't
know how to integrate and configurate an external Perl-Script in my
*.cfg file. Can anybody help how to do that? Any help will be
appreciated!! Regards Stefan
