thank you for the help but before I try to monitor with MRTG, I always do a
snmpget for the oid that I want to monitor with MRTG first. When I querry my
6509's using 

snmpget -m ALL <IP ADDRESS> community <<MIB OID>>

It returns the error: No such variable name in this MIB
 			    failed object: enterprises.cisco.local.lcpu.57.0

I have all the cisco mibs in my mibs directory, do you know why this is
happening?
