X & Y will be the Cell within Excel where the data comes from,

IE
=(B6)/86400+DATE(1970,1,1)

DATE is an internal command so don't worry about it.

Just make sure you format the cell that has this sum to show either time &
date or just date.

I'm trying to get the real date/time logged by MRTG. how can convert the
date/time using excel? reference says this is the formula:
"=(x+y)/86400+DATE(1970,1,1)
". but what about those variable like X,Y and DATE?
