Hmm, isn´t that exactly what Charles doesn´t want? The problem is, that
he can't see the normal traffic, because off the spikes. If he should
use the Unscaled options, I would say that he should use it, in
conjunction with Maxbytes, setting MaxBytes to a low value. That way, he
will see his normal traffic during day, but not the big spikes in the
night. Or perhaps, Charles should just monitor during working hours?

Try using the Unscaled[]:dwmy option. This way the graphs will show a
y-axis of 0,25,50,100%. MRTG won't scale the results according to
bandwidth
used.

Every night a backup runs and every server pegs the bandwidth to 10
Mbits.
This is Much higher than normal traffic. I want to keep the data that

gathered but I want to reduce the scale of the graphs that are generated

make the normal traffic visible. Is the a way to do this?
