[mrtg] Re: Scripts default to "gauge" type?

David,

Im using 2.9.17 with scripts to query some devices, one of the counters is a
cumulative counter, whereas the rest are gauge type. The non-incrementers
(eg Temp) are all marked as 'gauge' and work fine. The incrementing counter
has no options set (other than a 'nopercent') and that is working fine too.

I would suggest going up to the latest version (or at least the latest
stable - 2.9.17) before trying to fault-find the issue. Have a browse
through the CHANGES file for anything that might point to issues like this
too.

Be careful though, as I have seen a few changes in the way mrtg handles 'no
data' situations. It appears to me that they are moving toward rrd more and
more, and rateup isnt really being worked on.

Rob.
