[mrtg] MRTG ERROR-WHAT ???

I am polling 22 targets with MRTG. I just noticed that mrtg generated the following:

Data Collection Did Not Complete within interval!

What does that mean...should I increase my interval (5 min is the default)?? Or should I switch to RRDtool????Thank you.
