Yes it does carry over the global parameters, but since you have specified
nopercent & gauge in the target1_uptime target it over rides all global
default settings.

Subject: [mrtg] includes and default options
Hello,
I have one file, mrtg.cfg, that is the mrtg "config" file. This file
includes others using the Include line. This mrtg.cfg file specifies a
lot of default values for keywords. It seems like they aren't being
carried over into the includes. How do I fix this?
In particular, I want the targets specified in bti.inc to have the
"growright" option specified. The option is specified in the file that
includes it, but the option seems to be ignored. (see below)
Thanks in advance.
- Jason
My mrtg.cfg file:
<--------- snip ----------->
Options[_]:          growright,bits,noinfo
.
.
Include: bti.inc
.
.
Options[target1_uptime]:          nopercent,gauge
<--------- snip ----------->
