[mrtg] Change Interval :5 ÿInterval:1 ÿWhat about the

Is it possible to change the parameter Interval withough disturbing the
behavior of MRTG.

1) If I change Interval from 5 to 1, can I keep the valus in my old .log
files acquired every 5 minutes and, feed the .log files with the value
acquired each minute (i.e. can I keep the past values stocked in .log
files or do I loose every old values ?) ?

2) 
If I change the value of the variable Interval from 5 (default value) to
1, I don't know If MRTG could behave correctly.
SO, my question is could I change Interval from 5 to 1 and after a
moment *rechange* this value from 1 to 5 ? Is this a correct behavior
for MRTG ? Or is it dangerous because in this way I will lost the
integrity of my .log files for every the equipment I am monitoring ?
