[mrtg] Monitoring Cisco Router Errors and Discards

Am I correct in assuming that ifInErrors, ifInDiscards, ifOutErrors and 
ifOutDiscards on a Cisco Router are cumulative (ever incrementing) counters 
and that I should therefore not use gauge or absolute in Options []?
