[mrtg] MRTG Graphs - How to NOT update when link is down?

Hello,

Is there any way to tell MRTG to not update the MRTG graphs when the link is down, instead of repeating the last value in the graph, or putting zeroes in it?

What I want is: while the link is down, the graphs should not be updated. So, if 4pm the link went down, the graph would show just the period pre-4pm, and resume the normal operations when the link comes up again.
