Subject: [mrtg] Measuring Bandwidth Usage
I know this has been discussed before but I'm confused and cannot figure
this
out.
I would like to track how my bandwidth is being utliized both on the
external
interface (that is, the link between my cablemodem and the outside world)
and
on my wireless interface (that is, the link between my wireless and Access
Point and the computers that use it). I'd like to be able to graph the
actual bandhwidth usage against the bandwidth available at that point in
time.
Generally speaking, what data is it that I am going to be looking for from
my
interfaces? Knowing that, how can I get that data from my 3COM
(docsis-capable) cablemodem and from my SMC Wireless Acceess Point?
TIA!
