Oliver,
MRTG does just what you told it to do: Treat the counter as an absolute
figure.
The NonUnicastPackets counter (contains broadcast AND multicast packets)
is an ever increasing counter. If you use the absolute option you will
get an increasing graph.
The solution: leave out the absolute from the options line. Now you get
the number of packets per second. This number is probably very low, so
you might consider using the perminute option.
HTH,
Jan.

Subject: [mrtg] Switch Broadcast load
Hello List
I got weird results when I measure the totally NonUniCastPackets
(=broadcast). The graph increase all time a little bit. MRTG should take
with the option "absolute" every 5 min the absolute value and show it in
the graph, but it seems mrtg add all the time the previous value with
the actuel value.
Has anybody an idea why?
Oliver
