Not quite - MRTG needs two numbers, but they do not have to be SNMP
specific.  In fact, MRTG doesn't care where the numbers come from, just that
it gets two of them.  A lot of times people use the same number twice (blue
line on top of green fill) or they set one of the numbers to be zero all the
time by picking a SNMP OID that always returns zero, or some other way of
getting zero.
