I believe logarithmic stuff is supported in the current version of RRDTool.

Hmm, logarithmic graphs. That would also work well for some other scaling challenges. For instance it is hard to scale graphs for  errors when 
occasional spikes hit. Does anyone know if/when log graphs will be 
supported by mrtg or rrdtool?
