[mrtg] Mib Browsers with good descriptions

Ok, I have been searching the archives and email I have kept from this list
for a couple years now. I used Getif2.2, but lately trying to find stuff on
my HP LJ printers and Cisco devices, I am having a hard time finding the
mibs I want. There are no descriptions.

For instance I downloaded the mib file for Laserjet 5 printers, put it in
the getif mib directory, deleted the index file and opened up getif and ran
it against one of my printers. No where do I see anything on page counts
per minute or sec. I did find total life count, which I don't really want
right now.

On my Cisco 3662, I am looking for CPU util. In past posts I have found
some info on cpmCPUTotal5MinRev which should work or the old
cpmCPUTotal5Min. This is a new switch and has one of the latest version IOS
on it, so it should support the newer OID correct? Well it doesn't. I
looked in the mib file itself with a text editor and found those entries,
but no numbers to match them up with like I get in getif.

Listers have posted CPU oids for things like 6500s and 5500 lately, and some
of those get me numbers when I walk it, but how do I know for sure?

Is everyone else really doing this much searching when you need to find an
oid for equipment? If I find the mib file for a certain device, why does
getif not list it with the description?

Thanks
