[mrtg] Difference in configs not clear...

But the difference in the results is quite obvious. Of the two configs
below, both identical as far as I can tell, only one behaves the way I
expect it to. [mail-stored] is not measured in bytes (or factors
thereof) while [mail-transmitted] is. I would greatly appreciate it if
anyone could explain why 'k' precedes 'msgs' in the graphs generated by
the '[mail-transmitted]' config. I can't seem to determine where I've
gone wrong...
[mail-stored] example:
