GetIf only works with SNMP v1 MIBs. Get these from
ftp://ftp.cisco.com/pub/mibs/v1.
Sometimes syntax errors cause GetIf to not compile a mib. Start GetIf, exit,
then check "getif.log". You may need to add just a few files at time to
isolate the syntax errors.
If you want a free OS-independent (it even works on Windows) MIB
compiler/browser that supports SNMP v2 MIBs and compiles more MIBs, even
with some errors, try Active SNMP from http://www.cscare.com/activesnmp/.

Subject: [mrtg] Cisco Mibs with GetIf
Content-Type: text/plain;

Hi. I am trying to use MIBS I downloaded from Cisco's site with GetIf =
2.2. They don't seem to be registering with GetIf.
I put them in GetIf's MIB directory, deleted the .index file and =
restarted GetIf, I don't see them. I noticed they have a .my extension =
as opposed to a .mib. I tried changing the extension to .mib, but it =
didn't help.
I am trying to monitor 1720's with IOS 12.1
What am I missing?
Thanks
