Do a snmp walk you can find some good stuff, assuming you know the snmp
password.  

depending upon what kind of modem you have some have a built-in
configuration page.

I'm interested in graphing the upload/download speeds of my cablemodem.  The
cablemodem is docsis-capable but I don't know what it is I'd like to graph.
