[mrtg] MRTG on FreeBSD

I have been running MRTG on Windows2k with Apache for some time now.  What I
want to do now is run it on FreeBSD with Apache.  I have it running on a
FreeBSD machine, but when I start it I am logged in as root.  I want to make
it where MRTG automatically starts when the machine is booted up.  Does it
have to run under the root account or should I create a "service account" to
run MRTG?  I am a UNIX newbie, so please be gentle.
