  Hi all,
I have a host monitored by MRTG, let's call it xxxx.
Host xxxx went down, I have the following message in my mrtg log file:

2003-04-01 16:47:34 -- SNMP Error: no response received
  SNMPv1_Session (remote host: "xxxx" [192.168.88.201].161)
                    community: "yyyy"
                   request ID: 915021676
                  PDU bufsize: 8000 bytes
                      timeout: 2s
                      retries: 5
                      backoff: 1)
   at /usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/../lib/mrtg2/SNMP_util.pm line 458

  2003-04-01 16:47:34 -- SNMPGET Problem for ifInOctets.2 ifOutOctets.2 on yyyy at xxxx: at /usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/mrtg line 1620
2003-04-01 16:47:34 -- WARNING: skipping because at least the query for ifInOctets.2 on xxxx did not succeed
2003-04-01 16:47:34 -- WARNING: no data for ifInOctets&ifOutOctets:yyyy at xxxx. Skipping further queries for Host xxxx in this round.

The issue is, 17 minutes after the host xxxx came back up, MRTG is still not collecting any data :-(

AFAIK, MRTG is skipping queries for a "round" (when the host is down), but what is a round (how much time - more than 15 min) ?

  Regards
