[mrtg] Weird results - corrupt log files?

Hello :

I am having some really weird problems with a new installation of 2.9.28. I am having the following problem with all targets.

The first time mrtg runs for a target the start of the log file looks like this (which looks normal for a new logfile):

1049696400 781640098 374954204
1049696400 0 0 0 0
1049696100 0 0 0 0
1049695800 0 0 0 0
1049695500 0 0 0 0

However the second and all subsequent time mrtg runs for all targets the start of thelog file looks like this (which severely messes
things up):

1049696700 782581645 376701384
1049696700 3138 5824 3138 5824
1049696400 4294967296 -4629706893747552256 2885660360063320064 0
1049696100 4294967296 -4629706893747552256 2885660360063320064 0
1049695800 4294967296 -4629706893747552256 2885660360063320064 0

Any suggestions on what might be causing this? This system is running mrtg2.9.28 on a freebsd 4.7 system. The target that is being
polled is a Cisco Catalyst 2924M.

I'm not doing anything overly abnormail in the config file....I am using the following options and I am running mrtg from cron every
5 minutes

Logdir: /usr/local/mrtg/data
Imagedir: /home/webmaster/websites/monitoring
Htmldir: /home/webmaster/websites/monitoring
Refresh: 300
Interval: 5
XSize[^]: 500
YSize[^]: 200
WithPeak[^]: dwmy
Options[^]: bits, unknaszero

Thanks
Bill
