[mrtg] Should MRTG delete those .ok and _xyz files?

Should MRTG delete those .ok and _xyz files, or is it ok to leave them there? 
I have many config files in the smae directory and these .ok and _yxyzyzx 
files are really causing a mess. I read that they are for locks and 
confcache. Wouldnt it be a good idea if MRTG got rid of them after it runs or 
does it already do this and the reason I'm seeing the files is because the 
.cfg files are currenlty being run?
