You want to set them based on a desired byte (octet) count. So, if you want to trigger every time an interface exhibits below 1KB/s for the 5 minute period or above 150KB/s, it would look something like:
ThreshMinI[target]: 1000
ThreshMaxI[target]: 150000

I'm trying to set up Threshold checking based on the IfInOctets. This is a counter, how do i set my ThreshMaxI and ThreshMinI ? Does mrtg calculate before the threshold checking ocurs ?
