[mrtg] Non-Anonymous FTP

I would like to begin graphing FTP usage.  Is it better to graph the
totalNonAnonymous (Counter) FTP users or CurrentNonAnonymous (Gauge)?

Since MRTG scans every 5 minutes, one would think that the totalNonAnonymous
would be more accurate than the Current.

Opinions?
