TTL is most commonly used to designate the number of hops.

Subject: [mrtg] ip.DefaultTTL

Hello,

My router has a ip.DefaultTTL.0 = 255. (i saw it using Getif).

I want to know if it is seconds, miliseconds, hops or whatever.

Some people say it is hops the others say it is seconds.

Does anybody knows the real unit??

Thanks in advance,
Wagner Garcia Campagner.
