Here are the specs of the system I've installed this on:

Compaq Proliant 1600
Dual Pentium 3 600
256 MB RAM
Windows 2003 Web Edition
Network is a pair of Compaq NC3120's using the HP Network Teaming
Software

There's a question. HP/Compaq has a pile of its own SNMP software that
installs when you setup the management agents. Is it possible that the
installed management software is intercepting/interrupting SMNP2CA's
collection of this data?

As for the diskperf -n, reboot, diskperf -y.... This did NOT work in my
case. I am still only seeing the memory and object branches in GetIF.

I'd appreciate as much help as possible with this problem, because I'd
love to be able to monitor disk space & CPU utilization on my servers.

OK. CHIME!

Actually, logical disk counters will not register with PERFMON if the
diskperf has not been done. Since SNMP2CA makes a call to the perfmon
dll
for logical disk, it stands to reason that until diskperf is run,
SNMP2CA
will not see the counters either.

As for why you sometimes have to do diskperf -n, reboot and then
diskperf
-y, then reboot, YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS MINE. Truth is, on the 6
systems
I test it on (XP/2KPro/2KAdvSvr/2003EntSvr, I have not had to do that
once.
All systems had disperf -y run eons ago for SNMP4W2K support.

Also, missing branches are news to me too! Perhaps it is a timing
thing.
On these systems that are missing branches, are they slow systems? In
fact,
we are looking into what optimum timeout values should be.

(sorry if you were looking for more insight!)

Brian,

I had to do that as well. I am not sure why you are not seeing the
other
trees. I am sur that Garth will see this and chime in. (Garth

I did discover one interesting thing when using this. the 9600.1.1.1
tree
comes up only if diskperf -y has been performed. But the interesting
part is
that I installed it on a system that had diskperf
- -y previously done, but I had to diskperf -n , reboot, diskperf -y,
reboot, and then I could get the 9600.1.1.1 tree. No idea why this is
the
case and I don't know why you're not getting the 9600.1.1.3 or
9600.1.1.5
values...

I've just installed SNMP2CA on my Win2k3 machine. When I use GETIF to
walk
the MIB, I only appear to be getting two of 5 listed trees. I'm getting
the
9600.1.1.2 and 9600.1.1.4 trees (Memory and Objects)

What am I missing? I've double-checked the SNMP service, and made sure
all
the checkboxes were checked for what it monitored.

What you are missing is a close bracket after Afuera. You have
[Afueral:
when it should be [Afueral]:

I am trying to get router uptime to work.
reading the docs I thought it was just putting in like I did below. But
I
get an error when I have it in there.
