Thanks Manny,
I have already got a ping probe script working with MRTG. My cfg file is
very similar to what you have. What I actually need is to modify or write a
cfgmaker to generate cfg file for all the devices I want to ping. Do you
know where I get that cfgmaker? Thanks

I'm using mrtg-ping-probe from http://pwo.de/projects/mrtg/ I had no
problems implementing it on a windows box.
I imagine you're asking because of this page:
http://houweb1.univ-wea.com/MRTG/sita.ping.htm
If you're interested in the cfg script, here it is:
Title[stansted.ping]: Round Trip Time Analysis for 1024k link between
Houston and Stansted
PageTop[stansted.ping]: <H1>Round Trip Time Analysis from Houston (HOMEBREW)
to Stansted (STNSRV1)</H1>
RouterUptime[stansted.ping]: public at 10.10.20.10
MaxBytes[stansted.ping]: 500
AbsMax[stansted.ping]: 10000
WithPeak[stansted.ping]: ymwd
Options[stansted.ping]: gauge
Target[stansted.ping]: `c:\Perl\bin\perl.exe

LegendI[stansted.ping]: Max:
LegendO[stansted.ping]: Min:
The packet loss script is this:
Title[stansted.loss]: Packet Loss Analysis for STNSRV1 in Stansted, England
Target[stansted.loss]: `c:\Perl\bin\perl.exe
c:\mrtg-2.9.17\probe\mrtg-ping-probe -t 42 -p loss/loss stnsrv1`
PageTop[stansted.loss]: <H1>Packet Loss Analysis from Houston (HOMEBREW) to
Stansted (STNSRV1)</H1>
RouterUptime[stansted.loss]: public at 10.10.20.10
MaxBytes[stansted.loss]: 100
AbsMax[stansted.loss]: 101
WithPeak[stansted.loss]: ymwd
Options[stansted.loss]: gauge
Unscaled[stansted.loss]: dwmy

Legend3[stansted.loss]: Maximal 5 Minute % Packet Loss

Hope this helps....

I'm not sure what you mean by "interactive graphing" but I'm using a java
menu that I think looks pretty cool:

If that's what you have in mind, I'll be happy to point you in the right
direction.

p.s. BTW, the menu is called HV Menu and I found it at

Subject: [mrtg] Interactive Graphs
Some time ago I saw interactive MRTG graphing done using a Java Applet.
At least I think that's how it was done, I don't recall and cannot seem to
find my way back to the site where I saw this. Anyone have any ideas where I
can find this again?
