[mrtg] mrtg on Redhat 9 does not generate png pictures but rest works fine

Hi guys,

It could very well be that I'm doing something totally wrong, but here's my 
config:

[root at komodo root]# rpm -q mrtg
mrtg-2.9.25-1.7.2
[root at komodo root]# rpm -q libpng
libpng-1.2.2-16
[root at komodo root]# rpm -q gd
gd-1.8.4-11
[root at komodo root]# rpm -q zlib
zlib-1.1.4-8
[root at komodo root]#
####################

and the output it generates can be found on http://www dot komodo dot nl /mrtg/
It works perfectly, but generates the following errors:

[root at komodo root]# mrtg /etc/mrtg/mrtg.cfg

/usr/bin/../lib/mrtg2/BER.pm line 619.
gd-png:  fatal libpng error: Invalid filter type specified

I'm totally stuck, and have seen many people with the same problem, but 
have trouble destillating the right solution out of the answers. Any help 
would be very welcome.
