Take a look at what I'm doing here:
http://redhook.univ-wea.com/MRTG/grendel.htm

MRTG runs on a windows box but the oids for cpu on a Red Hat box (with the
correct MIBS loaded, of course) are:
1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.5.1	1min
1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.5.2	5min
1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.5.3	10min

Here's the cfg part for the 1min graphs:

# Processor Utilization for Grendel
# divide by symbol alt + 0247

Target[grendel.cpu.1min]:
.1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.5.1&.1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.5.1:XXXXX at XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
RouterUptime[grendel.cpu.1min]: XXXXX at XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
MaxBytes[grendel.cpu.1min]: 10000
Title[grendel.cpu.1min]: Grendel cpu: Processor Load 1 Min

		<TR><TD>Processor Load
MIB:</TD><TD>.1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.5.1</TD></TR>
	</TABLE>

ShortLegend[grendel.cpu.1min]: ÷ 100
YLegend[grendel.cpu.1min]: CPU Utilization
Legend1[grendel.cpu.1min]: CPU Utilization in % (Load)
Legend2[grendel.cpu.1min]:

Legend4[grendel.cpu.1min]:.
LegendI[grendel.cpu.1min]: &nbsp;Load:
LegendO[grendel.cpu.1min]:
Options[grendel.cpu.1min]: gauge, integer

...just change the basic stuff....

Hope this helps out some folks.

Subject: [mrtg] cpu load onRedHat 6.x and 7.x

Hi,

I've been setting up MRTG and all is well. However i can't seem to find any
examples of an mrtg.cnf to do with monitiring cpu load on a redhat box.

Would anyone please post a snip of their mrtg.cnf so i can look over it
please?

thanks

Tom
