Hi Brett,
OK, I did remove colon (:) at the end of the IP address per your
instructions and re-run
"cfgmaker" and "mrtg mrtg.cfg" but am still getting the errors. I included
you the errors
below and hope you or someone out there can help me to help fix the
problems.
What bother me was the library errors which I highlighted in red even though
I have already
installed the latest version of the library libpng-1.2.4-sol8-sparc-local on
the system. Unless
this error was complain on different library that was missing.
Also I include mrtg.cfg file at the end of this error for your review.

As far as I know, there should be no colon (:) at the end of the IP address.
I
would edit your mrtg.cfg with your favorite text editor (vim, nvi, etc) and
remove the colon from the end of all "Target" entries.
Something you will also need to check is have you enabled "snmp-server" on
your Cisco router? If not, then there's another reason why it will fail.
Before starting MRTG again, I'd recommend using something like "snmpwalk"
(part of the NET-SNMP project) to perform an SNMP query on your router,
because if snmpwalk cannot query your router then MRTG won't be able to
either.
