You will be disappointed.  MRTG doesn't do 1 minute 
intervals.  RTFM...

And no, monitoring at 1 minute intervals will not choke the router.  What is it, 
like 3 or 4k at most per request?

Hello All,

I am new to MRTG.

I have configured MRTG and SNMP without problem.

I configured MRTG to get information on CISCO router.

My doubt is :
If i run MRTG in 1 min interval using cron will this choke the router bandwidth.

What will be the normal packet size that MRTG receives from router regarding its status.Whether it will cause network traffic
