Sum the targets and then devide them by 4
Target[blabla]: cpu1+cpu2+cpu3+cpu4/4
I haven't tried it but it should work.

Hi...
i think i did not made myself clear :)
I have 4 log files called cpu1.log to cpu4.log.
Now i want to put the entries oft these 4 files into one single log file
from wich i wanna generate one graph.
So that i can easily view the average cpu utilization of all four cpu at
once.

thx james but i rather use UltraEdit :)
regards
simon

Hello,
Do what I did.
I used M$ Frontpage and inserted the 4 graphs that I wanted and put them
in 1 .html file.

Subject: [mrtg] Generating 1 graph out of 4 Log files
Hi there
I am trying to generate one graph out of four log files i have. These
log files come from a 4 CPU Machine and now i just wanna display the
average
CPU utilization by combining these 4 files into one single graph.
I looked into the manuals and searched the list's archives but could not
find a solution. Maybe i overlooked something or didn't search for the
right catchwords.
I know i could use W2K's PerfMon to get the Value of all 4 CPUs at
once(and it would be done in 2 minutes)
but I'm just curious if its possible by just using MRTG.
many thanks in advance
mfg,
