[mrtg] Monitoring one value

I am new to mrtg and have a couple questions....

I am monitoring a specific OID to return values from a satellite modem. I
only want to measure one value, such as eb/no but mrtg asks for 2 values in
order to graph. How can I just graph this one value returned?

I know that this will not work :

Target[10.1.1.249-ebno]:.1.3.6.1.4.1.2591.3.7.1.17.4:public at 10.1.1.249

This will work:
Target[10.1.1.249-ebno]:.1.3.6.1.4.1.2591.3.7.1.17.4&.1.3.6.1.4.1.2591.3.7.1
.17.4:public at 10.1.1.249

But is this what I want to graph, 2 values of the same thing?

I would also like to format the scale on the output of the graph. A sample
value returned would be 1450, which shows up ok on the graph, but I would
like to format it as 14.50, is this possible?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
