Sounds pretty reasonable to me. That's only going to be the first
packet in each session. Here are the counters from one of my switches:
L2 Switched: ucast: 194702414 pkt, 134327371622 bytes - mcast: 304459
pkt, 26332813 bytes
L3 in Switched: ucast: 10346 pkt, 755544 bytes - mcast: 1 pkt, 229
bytes mcast L3 out Switched: ucast: 5457830 pkt, 575824162 bytes
Notice that L3 in/out switched is really minimal compared with the L2
switched value.
